- Training of trainers since 1983, including participations from other Southern African Countries.
- ECD pioneering work includes anti bias or diversity training in South Africa and a family support strategy.
- White Ravens 2004, a selection of International Literature. They Were Wrong!, a product from the anti bias project was chosen as one of the top 100 best children’s books published in 2003.
- The Vivian Wilkes Award 2002 for a ground-breaking contribution to youth literature.
- Adult Learner Award 2002 for a project combining adult literacy and ECD.
- Western Cape Arts, Culture and Heritage award 2008 for promotion of the Keteka Series,.
