This early reader/picture book follows the adventures of Antjie, a girl of eight, as she wanders through her village of Genadendal searching for her lost donkeys. Beautiful full-colour photographs introduce the reader to the rhymes, characters and places which make up life in a sleepy dorp in the Overberg. The aim of the book is to both affirm the experiences of rural children and to introduce urban children to a lifestyle different from their own.
