Every cent donated to our COVID-19 Food Emergency Fund goes towards the purchase of nutritious meals from Rise Against Hunger to feed our beneficiaries and their families living in vulnerable communities.
A single serving of food from Rise Against Hunger costs R2.90. It is filling and provides a child with sufficient nutrients for an entire day whilst boosting immunity against illness. The meal is cooked with water and served hot.
A large percentage of our children in the poorest areas were already malnourished before the COVID-19 outbreak began and this automatically placed them in a high-risk category. Your contribution can potentially help to prevent serious illness or even death in families.
ELRU invites you to join our 100Club! Become a member of our 100Club by donating R100 or more if you can afford to give more. All contributions will be used towards our COVID-19 Food Emergency Fund. Big or small your contribution counts.
